Construction

PVC capsules

PVC capsules are made from 70 micron heat shrinkable PVC for the skirt and aluminium foil for the top. PVC capsules are most commonly used on wine bottles.

Polylaminate capsules

Polylaminate capsules are made from polyethylene film laminated between two aluminium foils. This gives a high quality metallic feel capsule for use on spirits and sparkling wines.

Capsules may be fitted with tear-tabs, tear strips and perforations in order to make them easier to remove from the bottle.

Colours/Printing

A wide range of pigmented and printed colours is available including glossy, satin, matt and a metallic finishes. Contact Viscose Closures for a colour chart.

Printed designs up to 9 colours are available for the skirt and 2 colours for the top.

Special effects

Embossed designs can be placed on the top of all capsules.

Hot foil printing can be applied to the top and skirts of all capsules.
