La Fée Absinthe is the only absinthe accredited by the French Absinthe Museum and its curator, Marie-Claude Delahaye. Based on a nineteenth century recipe, and launched in the UK in 2000, La Fée has swiftly gained an enviable reputation among absinthe aficionados.
Creating the correct twenty-first century image for such a traditional product proved a challenge for George Rowley, director of Hertfordshire-based management team at BBH Spirits. After discussions, the solution proved to be applying 28x70mm Viskrings over 28x38mm ROPPs, both supplied in plain silver by viscose.closures.
The product has recently won a Silver Award in the International Spirits Challenge 2003, and the winning result has helped to create and develop the UK market for this "Green Utopia", which is now available at a leading supermarket.
