G.B. Kent decided to rationalise its labelling requirements by replacing four self-adhesive labels with one shrink label across part of its range of hair brushes.

The hair brushes are packed in clear plastic moulded packs which are sold through a range of multiples.

The shrink label, made by Viscose Closures Ltd, is produced from PVC printed in up to six colours. When shrunk on to the pack it provides all the promotional and labelling functions in addition to securing the lid of the container in place.

David Dickenson, Production Controller of G.B. Kent, says "The move to a single shrink label to replace the previously hand-applied paper labels has simplified our packaging operations and stockholding significantly, and the gravure-printed sleeves look very smart."
