The Wine & Dine company chose Viscose Closures Ltd to develop the shrink labels for a new range of Safeway salad dressings.
The labels, made from 50 micron PVC, combine the roles of primary label and tamper-evident sleeve. The horizontal perforation just below the cap allows the end user to remove the cap whilst leaving the rest of the label intact. The labels are printed gravure in six colours plus a heat-reactive adhesive on the inside of the sleeving to provide a good level of adhesion to the PET bottle.
The initial product launch for Safeway consisted of three varieties. The shrink labels were supplied in reel form for automatic application.
