The packaging is in the form of a salt mill and the full length PVC shrink sleeving, produced by Viscose Closures Ltd, simulates the Kraft brown paper traditionally used to wrap salt in France. The overall 6 colour gravure printed label is produced in 50 micron PVC and contains bar code, list of ingredients and product information. Lead times were reduced by producing samples on a digital press.

The profiled container necessitated a degree of pre-distortion of artwork so that the correct effect was achieved on the heat shrink label. Mr. Nourredine Bourenane, the Marketing Manager for Salines d’Einville, said "We chose this shrink sleeve label because of the quality of graphics which can be achieved and the ability to get an overall label which complements and accentuates the shape of the container".
