Pilfer proof closures

When a pilfer proof closure is removed it breaks away from a secure band of aluminum which remains attached to the bottle. This broken seal shows that the bottle has been opened.

Non pilfer proof closures

Non pilfer proof closures can be removed without leaving any evidence that the bottle has been opened. They may be made secure by using a Viskring/Celon or Heat shrink sleeve

Non refillable closures

Non refillable closures are used on spirits bottles to prevent dilution or contamination of contents. The non refillable element is contained inside a standard pilfer proof closure and is inserted into the neck of the bottle when the cap is first applied. When the cap is removed, the non refillable element is left securely fitted within the neck of the bottle.
Variants for standard glass and light weight glass bottles are available.

Construction

Aluminium closures are pressed out of aluminum sheeting 0.20 - 0.23mm thick. Refer to catalogue of cap sizes.

Seal materials

A water and gas tight seal is formed by the insertion of a sealing disc into the aluminium closure. Refer to catalogue of seal types.

Closure application

Aluminium closures may be applied using standard capping machines

Colours/Printing

Plain colours

All colours can be reproduced including silver and gold.

Litho printing

Up to 5 colours can be printed using the litho process. This involves printing the flat aluminium plate before it is pressed into caps.

Side printing

Up to 5 colours can be printed onto the side of caps after they have been formed. This technique gives the highest quality results especially on longer caps.

Special effects

Embossing on the top surface and side walls can enhance the quality of the cap. The embossed design can be further decorated by printing on top of the cap or shaving the side of the cap to reveal the bare metal in the embossed areas.

Packing

All sizes of cap are packed inside a plastic bag inside a corrugated case which is glued and taped. Refer to catalogue of cap sizes.
